- Description: This is a two story building with an energy efficient PERSIST building envelope, high performance windows, high efficiency boilers, water conserving plumbing fixtures and energy efficient LED lighting throughout. The Triodetic multi-point foundation system elevates the building above the unstable permafrost. The contract was for a base building shell with open office space for lease.
ARCAN was additionally awarded the Design-Build contract to completed the tenant improvements in the Katimavik Office building (EPLS TI's) for the following Government of Nunavut departments: Economic Development and Transportation, Environment, Family Services, Health, Justice and Nunavut Housing Corporation.
