The Teslin Fire & EMS Hall was ARCAN's first design build project expanding into the Yukon Territory. ARCAN succeeded in beating out all other proponents through involved Request for Qualifications and Request for Proposal rounds with the highest scoring proposal. Unfortunately the project cost of the indicative design in the proposed project more than doubled the available budget.
ARCAN was able to work with both the client and client representatives to significantly value engineer and redesign the build into something within budget, creating a viable successful project. There were a number of challenges throughout the life of this project but it's a true testament to ARCAN's experience and to design build project delivery that the final outcome is such a great success.
